In October Ingthorpe Grange was featured in the Guardian Travel Section in an article by Sally Shalam.

Sally described the journey to the house as one of her favourites of all times and soon fell under “Ingthorpe’s spell.” She loved the “light, airy and informal” atmosphere, the scenery, the lack of light pollution, the flowers and scented candles, the breakfast …….. she described “hitting the sack with a sense of wanting to hold on to the night, to savour every moment in this perfect setting, the sweetest air drifting in through the windows….”

B and B of the week for Ingthorpe in “The Week” Magazine.

Ingthorpe was featured in “The Week” a few weeks after the article in the “Guardian” and was given the accolade of B&B of the week.

Ingthorpe Grange is featured in the March edition of ” Woman and Home ” Magazine.

Ingthorpe Grange is described as “ultra-stylish” and that stepping into Ingthorpe is like “stepping into another world.” The article emphasises the cosy yet grand dining room with log burning stove, the beautiful South Wing room and loves the ” designer” edge in the decor.

Perfect for a romantic break or cultural treat!

What to do in the area for Culture Lovers

“Woman and Home” suggest that visitors to the area combine “Wuthering Heights” style scenery with cultural trips to the new Hepworth gallery in Wakefield, Haworth’s vintage shopping (as well as the Bronte Parsonage of course !) .

Welcome to Yorkshire new member!

Ingthorpe Grange has just become a member of Welcome to Yorkshire , which has just been voted the world ‘s number one tourist board. Congratulations to them!

Human League and Badly Drawn Boy are two of the main attractions. Stay at historic Ingthorpe and be only 10 minutes drive from this event.

We are also within easy reach of the Great Yorkshire Show and the Harrogate Fringe Festival. Stay in our luxury accommodation and enjoy the drive to Harrogate via Grassington and Pateley Bridge.

Guests have been enjoying the wonderful sunshine and many of them have had their maiden 3 peaks challenge walk. (Don’t forget you only need walk one if three is too daunting !)

Walking close to tranquil Ingthorpe is also a great experience and less exhausting.

We look forward to welcoming you whether you are looking for a place to escape and relax or whether you want to enjoy the nearby events on offer.

Welcome to Ingthorpe’s first blog!

The Grassington Festival is entering its 3rd week. I had lunch today at Grassington House and as I sat bathed in sunshine (yes sunshine) waiting for my Parisian friend to arrive, I gazed at the beautiful cobbled square flanked by a host of interesting ,individual and very “typical” (in the best sense) shops and cafes, I felt a warm glow of Yorkshire pride. This is a truly lovely village. I knew my friend would love it……and I was right.

Ingthorpe is about half an hour’s drive from Grassington. A beautiful drive at that. Meandering lanes and soft, rolling countryside. We still have availability during the last week of the festival. So not too late to enjoy an evening with Jack Dee, listen to gentle jazz or join a celebration of Jane Austen and stay in one of the area’s beautiful, tranquil and historic homes. Stay an extra night and enjoy our home cooking.

We look forward to welcoming you.
